How we started
Growing up I didn't have a Mom. I lost her to the prison system. She was sentenced to over 10 years.
Experiencing foster care, and then my brother and I watching my Dad navigate financial challenges as a single father, cultivated a relentless drive in me.
As a teenager I realized that myself and others were making senseless decisions with our money which could instead be invested or saved. I also realized that there is nobody to blame because we aren’t taught financial literacy in school.
This ultimately lead me to create a brand that would bring socially conscious awareness to the things we aren't taught in schools through meaningful designs while donating proceeds toward the betterment of impoverished communities. We donate 10% of all proceeds to provide financial literacy in impoverished communities and to those that need it.
I believe that the lack of financial literacy is one of the root causes of many problems in our low income communities. Being able to help prevent another kid from the hardships I experienced from the proceeds we earn is my “why".
